Topeka Bound

Writing today from the Atlanta airport on the way to Kansas City. I hope my good luck didn't run out when the flight from Hartford arrived- early even- at gate A24 and the flight to Kansas City leaves from A26. More later when I'm not operating on 3 and a half hours of sleep.

BURNINATING THE PEEPLZ

Step 1:
Prepare for work. Proper attire is required. Don't want to get your hands all dirty now!!

Step 2:
Remove everything. Can't burninate so close to the gas tank. Well, you CAN, it just increases your chances of failing at life.

Easy access is the key!

Step 3:
Burninate.

To speed things up, I hear you can soak the bushings in gasoline. With gas prices where they are, we opted to just propane the crap out of them. MAPP is better, but I broke my torch during an intense garage cleaning session.

Environment be damned!

Enjoy. Cleaning and assembly to follow.

From ASS BAD to BAD ASS, the story of cheap ebay control arms

Got some goodies to show off. Bought some cheap control arms off ebay for pennies.

I literally spend more money on sugar based products in a week than I did on these nicely welded, chrome finished control arms/rods/shafts/things. The downside, is the heim joints on them SUCK. So, Motoria, spend $4.50 more per heim and get something quality so I don't have to scour the web for this crap.

But the heims from Midwest Control Products aren't really crap... They're kind of beefy, and 3-piece, and teflon lined. Much bigger, much badder. Definitely more ass.

But, as with any new ass, it's always best to use protection. Seals-It rod end boots are stretchy enough for even the biggest of rod ends!!

So badass, this could be construed as control arm porn:

Chris is coming down tonight to help with the teardown of the subframe so I can get these bad-boys on the car. I still need to figure out what bushings to use for the main subframe mounts, though. It's a three way race between solid aluminum, solid urethane, or urethane filler with aluminum collars..... WHICH ONE WILL WIN?!?!? What will the G-Fab's "neo-Panda" (nPS14) be running by the Moss Runoff? WHY HAVE THESE UPDATES BEEN SO SLOW AS TO MAKE LIFE CRAWL BY SO SLOWLY WITH NO REASON TO LIVE WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT GFAB IS UP TO?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!11oneone

Loud noizzess,
